Well, hello neighbours! It's been a bit of a mixed bag of news here in Charminster this week, but as always, our community spirit is shining through.
First, the not-so-happy news. Our much-loved Charminster Library has faced an indefinite closure due to a significant ceiling collapse. It’s a real shame for all of us who enjoy its quiet corners, bustling rhyme times, and the wealth of knowledge it holds. However, the good news is that our community is rallying! A brilliant local petition has been launched to bring our library back to life, so do show your support if you can. Let's keep those pages turning in Charminster!
On a greener note, there’s some lovely news for Charminster Road. A Lawson Cypress at Quest House is being carefully removed and will be replaced with a beautiful, young Beech tree. It’s wonderful to see our local environment being nurtured, and we’re excited to watch this new addition grow and flourish right here on our doorstep.
Despite the library setback, it's heartening to see how we all come together. Let's keep chatting, keep supporting local initiatives, and keep Charminster the wonderful place it is!
